BEHIND THE BUILD

The project story.

The project

B&D is an Australian garage-door brand known for roller doors, sectional doors, openers, remotes and security innovations. The website needed to support homeowners, architects, builders, commercial buyers and existing owners looking for repairs or accessories.

The experience brings a large product range, educational material, dealer discovery and quote pathways into a confident brand platform built around safety, reliability, quiet operation, smart technology and Australian innovation.

The challenge

Visitors need to understand door types, materials, finishes, automation, security options and installation before requesting a quote. The website had to simplify a technically detailed catalogue without reducing every product to the same generic presentation.

The approach

The interface starts with customer intent: choosing a door, exploring openers, finding a dealer, arranging a repair or requesting a quote. Visual comparisons and concise explanations make roller, sectional and designer solutions easier to understand.

Product discovery and lead generation

Security technology, smart-phone control, warranty information and quiet-operation features are presented as customer benefits. Quote and dealer actions remain visible throughout the experience, letting visitors research before moving into a local conversation.

Responsive experience

Large imagery, product comparisons and feature-rich sections reorganise carefully on smaller screens. Navigation stays focused and primary actions remain prominent on mobile devices.

The result

The finished platform communicates the scale and heritage of B&D while making a complex catalogue easier to navigate. What I like most is how it turns engineering detail into a clear homeowner journey without weakening an iconic brand.
